Melbourne Knowledge Week – First Responders in the Arts
Wednesday, April 28, 1:00 PM (AEST)
When COVID-19 closed the doors of theatres and venues across Australia, thousands of artists and stage crews suddenly found themselves without work.
Join the live studio audience or follow the livestream to hear the inspiring stories of five first-responding arts managers who successfully harnessed technology to support their industry. In an open panel discussion, speakers will explore how COVID-19 has impacted different arts organisations and whether (or not!) they really want to go back to how things were pre-pandemic.
Following the discussion, enjoy a captivating 45-minute performance from acclaimed pianist, Elyane Laussade, including works by Mozart, Chopin, Debussy and more.
This is a complimentary event presented as part of Melbourne Knowledge Week with thanks to the City of Melbourne.
