Partridge String Quartet – Schubert, Webern, Schumann

This concert combines three masterpieces, each highly idiomatic and revolutionary in their own right; Schubert’s first ‘mature’ work for string quartet, Webern’s iconic first leap into atonality and the third and final of Schumann’s quartets – a work he himself considered to be one of his best.
